Filming Monte Carlo might be over, but since the filming for the first episodes of Gossip Girl is about to start Leighton is still in Europe.

Taking advantage of a break from her hectic filming schedule, Leighton Meester was spotted making her way around Paris, France on Sunday (July 4).

The “Gossip Girl” cutie was joined by a group of friends as she headed off for a bite to eat at an outdoor eatery before doing a bit of shopping along the city streets.

Ed Westwick is currently in Australia, doing some promoting with Virgin Mobile. When he was interviewed, he gave the signals he might be willing to work with Leighton on her album. This is the dream : )

Leighton may not believe in marriage but she loves kids! And according to Kelly Rutherford, not only from afar.

Kelly Rutherford (Lily) says she gets help with her kids from an unexpected source: her glamourous young costars.

“[Blake] and Leighton offer all of the time, and I always joke that when they are done shooting their Vogue covers, they can! Come on over,” Kelly says.

Apparently fashionistas Blake and Leighton like to play with 1-year-old Helena’s look.

“They['re] so cute when we go to the set,” says Rutherford. “They always makeover the kids like crazy. They are like older brothers and sisters themselves and they are all very family oriented. It’s very cute!”

The side entrance pops open with a bang and Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy – intent upon escaping their tour group tour – come bursting out, rushing down steps. The director, Tom Bezucha, shouts “Cut!,” and the girls dissolve into giggles before, arms around each other, resuming their places for another take…

After seven weeks filming together inside Budapest studios, one on set source tells PEOPLE, they couldn’t wait to get outside – even in near freezing temperatures. ’They really get along really well. You can see they’ve gotten to be friends on this … It’s like a trip that way. There’s this chemistry and sometimes its almost conspiratorial but these girls reallly adore each other.”
